Alexandria
ชาวหาดวาดกวี
Passing through the night, unknown
To stars and moons, I traveled alone.
In a floating study room,
Alexandria, I would find some rest.
Looking out of my window, I would see
a dazzling pool on the top roof where
humble olive trees lie independently.
They stand perpetually green and free
From earth that holds roots.
From eyes that value fruits.
They stretch their lose arms to many moons,
Countless stars and worlds.
But one universe ever found
Seems so far understanding
That one reachable arm of olive trees
Could barely touch its edge
Where great emptiness
may be a little inch beyond.
